3. Versatile Defense

Nowadays in the NBA, having a lineup full of lanky athletes that can switch and defend multiple positions is the key to playing strong defense. The Golden State Warriors do this to perfection, boasting one of the longest rotations in the league.

The Warriors have a grand total of seven players with 7-foot wingspans. While James Wiseman, Eric Paschall and Kelly Oubre haven’t been playing as of late, the others such as Andrew Wiggins, Kent Bazemore, Draymond Green and Kevon Looney have been wreaking havoc on the perimeter.

Golden State ranks second in steals over their last 10 games and third in Defensive Rating over their last five. The combination of length and athleticism on the perimeter has allowed them to toss out all kinds of looks at the offense and giving them the advantage of immense versatility.

We all know Draymond can be trusted to disrupt opponents and he’s been doing just that. More notable is Wiggins, who is having the best defensive season of his career and ranking towards the top of the league in contested shots per game.

While the Dubs’ offense has taken an irreversible hit due to the loss of Klay Thomson, it’s a pleasant sight to see their defense holding up strong.
