Golden State Warriors will wish for Jalen Green to slip in NBA Draft

Cade Cunningham is rightfully the No. 1 prospect on everybody’s big board. But, the ceiling for Jalen Green is arguably right on par with anything Cunningham could become one day.

Green has all the makings of an offensive sensation. Quick-twitch athleticism with fluid leaping ability and an uncanny flair for the dramatic — Green is going to create highlights at the NBA level from day one.

He’s a three-level scorer who averaged 17.9 points per game in the G-League. Green showed he can fight through contact and finish at the rim while his super-tight handle allowed him to navigate around the floor at will.

A few aspects holding him back are his effort levels on defense and willingness to pass. He isn’t always engaged on both ends of the floor and though he has solid instincts, Green is prone to playing with tunnel vision at times.

All things considered, the Golden State Warriors would be thrilled to add Green to the mix. He’d instantly become one of the NBA’s best sixth men and the scoring punch he could provide to the bench would raise the Warriors’ ceiling exponentially.
