4. Golden State Warriors select Josh Giddey

Let’s transition into the actual NBA Draft class. The Golden State Warriors have more than enough prospects to consider at both the seventh and 14th spots in the draft. One name who will be on their radar in the back of the lottery is Josh Giddey.

Giddey is a tall guard with a wide array of talents. As an 18-year-old in the NBL, Giddey put up impressive stats of 10.9 points, 7.5 assists and 7.4 rebounds. This all-around skillset will bode well for Giddey in a league that emphasized versatility at all positions.

The Warriors can utilize Giddey as a backup playmaker to take pressure off Stephen Curry. He’s a strong live-action passer with natural playmaking instincts that will pair nicely with James Wiseman in the pick-and-roll. Of course, standing at 6’7″, Giddey has the height to play in three-guard lineups next to the Splash Brothers.

This could create an incredibly fun dynamic. Depending on how far he extends his range and his development as a defender — Giddey could become a Joe Ingles-Esque producer in the backcourt for Golden State.
