We all knew it would happen someday but Stephen Curry is set to cakewalk his way to another NBA record in the Golden State Warriors‘ 2021-22 NBA season.

The guy who is often credited for sparking the 3-point revolution and causing every kid to start chucking up perimeter shots before they have the strength to even do so is about to make history yet again as Curry approaches the all-time record for most career 3-pointers.

Barring a major setback for the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry will become the league’s all-time leading 3-point shooter.

Curry is on a pace that we have never seen before. He’s been on an astronomical rise up the record board ever since entering the league. He’s connected on over 250 3-pointers each season he was fully healthy since 2013. During these nine years, Curry has broken the previous single-season record a total of six separate times as well as being the first player to ever crack the 400 threshold.

Now, entering season 13 of his career Curry is less than 150 total 3-pointers away from Ray Allen who sits atop the throne. For comparison, Allen appeared in exactly 1,300 regular season games while Curry has yet to pass 800 (he is at 762). No one else in the top-five has played fewer games than Curry.

Curry isn’t just doing it quicker than everyone else, he is doing it at a more efficient rate too. His career 43.3 percent clip from deep is higher than Allen, Reggie Miller, Kyle Korver and James Harden.

It would be an absolute shock if Curry didn’t run away with the record as soon as next year’s All-Star break. While other names like Harden, Damian Lillard and potentially younger stars like Trae Young will one day have a chance to pass Allen as well — I can not imagine anyone passes Curry in our lifetime. He truly is the master of his craft.
