Stephen Curry’s body and skill should be able to hold up

To assume Curry hasn’t thought about his body and putting it through the wringer, seasons in and season out before signing the four-year extension with the Warriors would be a mistake, and anyone who’s seen him play knows he can do more damage even with limited minutes.

For argument’s sake, let’s just say the unit clicks and goes the distance, then all that Curry would have to do is be himself. Get the ball, shoot it, bang.

18,434 points with 2,832 coming from deep and 3,508 two-point field goals are ample proof that he is a legend. What matters is how he and the Warriors go about their business when they open the season against favorites Lakers a month from now.

There are no two ways to put the fact out that Stephen Curry has changed the way NBA has been viewed. His teammate, Andre Igoudala said as much while talking on The Breakfast Club.

"“I think he changed the game,” Iguodala explained. “You know, one thing he brought to the game was – you were looked at as soft if you had too much fun playing basketball. People like Charles Barkley, Anthony Mason with the Knicks, Charles Oakley were looked at highly. It was a weakness if you smiling on the court. You had to be mean, like Pat Riley-style basketball with New York.”"

So there it is. The greatness is achieved, and it isn’t always about the rings. But Stephen Curry with the thirst for more has a shot to transcend glory, and it starts this October.
