Andrew Wiggins is traded

If Andrew Wiggins does not get the vaccine, the Golden State Warriors do not really have any other options, do they? It is not realistic for Wiggins to only be available for half of the season. But, what does the market look like for an unvaccinated and overpaid player?

Wiggins is a skilled 3-and-D threat who just had the best season of his career. He can provide an enormous impact on the perimeter as a disruptor and fill in beautifully as a tertiary scorer. Yet, his $30 million dollar price tag and baggage that comes with it could tank his value.

Fortunately, there is another player in Philadelphia who has been tanking his value as of late. A swap for Ben Simmons would be an absolute home run for the Warriors at this point, though it might be unrealistic. It likely takes more than just Wiggins to satisfy the 76ers.

Who else is out there? Nathan Beighle already gave us two other names including C.J. McCollum and Jonas Valančiūnasin his story Friday.

Truthfully, the Warriors will take whoever they can get if it comes down to it. While waiting out the pandemic is a possibility — it feels more likely the Dubs cut their losses and ship Wiggins to whoever will take him if he is not available to play this season.
