The Great

Sitting on top of the Western Conference for the first time this decade, what has led to the Golden State Warriors surge of success? It is hard to argue against Stephen Curry being the main factor.

Curry has already set the record for most career 3-pointers and is on pace to break his single-season record of 402 set in 2016. What’s most impressive is Curry is actually shooting below his career average, suggesting this could get even crazier as the year goes on.

Likewise, Draymond Green is bringing together one of the best defensive squads the Warriors have had in years. Alongside other athletic wings, Green has been able to reclaim his spot on the top of the throne as the NBA’s most impactful defensive leader.

Together, it is likely Curry will contend for his third career MVP while Green is emerging as a favorite for the Defensive Player of the Year award. All the while, Klay Thompson is gearing up for his return to the floor.

Furthermore, James Wiseman will be joining the Dubs at some point in the season. Aside from the success that Golden State has seen this season, it is possible they are prepping for another decade of winning with young talents like Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, Jordan Poole and Moses Moody developing during this current run.
