Golden State Warriors trade for Mike Muscala

One player that has played himself onto the trade board for just about every contender is Oklahoma City Thunder center Mike Muscala. Muscala stands 6-foot-11 and has a Nemanja Bjelica-type style.

He isn’t a terrific rim protector despite his size, but he can stretch the floor and is better defensively than Bjelicia.

On top of that Muscala is shooting at a high rate from three, knocking down 43% of his attempts on the season. That’ll be good enough to attract a team, and the Warriors could certainly use that consistent ability to space the court.

Golden State ranks No. 1 in assist percentage. They move the ball and have the shooters to space the floor. Muscala could add to that, and it really wouldn’t take much to draw him away from Oklahoma City.

It’s a worthy trade, but it may not truly put the Warriors over the hump and into that title-favorite territory.
