Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry’s lack of a Finals MVP is one of the only remaining blemishes on his resume. Putting this narrative to sleep would be a good way for Curry to start the next Dubs dynasty.

It hasn’t been the best season for Curry. He began hot, leading the MVP race early in the regular season before an odd shooting slump and a freak ankle injury cut his time short. He made it back for the playoffs where his inconsistency has continued.

Curry posted the worst 3-point shooting regular season of his career and is shooting at his second-worst efficiency in the playoffs.

Still, he’s the best player remaining and has the potential to make this a quick series by rattling off one of his historic shooting stretches.

Curry averaged 23.8 points and 7.8 assists on 43.9% shooting in the Western Conference Finals, winning the first WCF MVP ever.

In Game 1 of the finals, he rattled off 21 quick first quarter points en route to a 34 points performance. If he continues this and finds a way to win, it’s hard to see anyone else taking the award.
