Warriors player primed to make headlines: Jordan Poole

It’s not that Poole is going elsewhere this coming season as he has a team option, but that if the relationship between the 22-year-old star guard and the organization is going to stay positive, the two sides are going to want to find common ground in extension talks.

Poole could be looking at a nine-figure extension.

Having basically carried the team the last few months with Stephen Curry sidelined with a foot injury, what Poole has shown he can bring to the table along with his work ethic that’s been often talked about could have him betting on himself and declining an extension.

However, the situation is going to be one to keep an eye on. Poole has increased his scoring by about 65% every season, and he topped 18 points per game while shooting a career-best field goal and three-point percentage.

He’s improving at a high rate, and he’s someone the Warriors should want to keep around. Considering his relationships and seeming joy in the Bay Area, it seems he’d want to stay with Golden State.

Agreeing on a pricetag to do just that may be easier said than done though.
