Golden State Warriors player best-suited for breakout: Jordan Poole

Wasn’t last year a breakout season for Jordan Poole?

Yes, it was, but this might be the year he puts it all together for the entirety of a season. Poole should be aiming to top 23 points per game and could easily see his first All-Star appearance in 2023.

Poole was phenomenal down the stretch last season, averaging around 26 points per game while Curry was out the last few weeks. Poole has increased his scoring by around 50% each season, going from 8.8 to 12 to 18.5.

It helps that he was the league’s best free-throw shooter last season as well.

The 23-year-old also doubled his assists per game which undoubtedly boosted his impact. Poole left some to be desired defensively, but throughout the course of the season, that shouldn’t be as important as it is in the playoffs.

He should easily see around 30 minutes per game again. Poole has the shooting, playmaking and now experience to top 20 points per game and compete for both Sixth Man of the Year and an All-Star spot this coming season.
