2. Kenneth Faried

Perhaps a shot in the dark, Kennet Faried has a chance to mark a major comeback story with the Golden State Warriors.

Faried has not played in an NBA game since 2019 when the world was quite different.

He had a min-resurgence in his 25 games with Houston, averaging 12.9 points and 8.2 rebounds entering the 2019 playoffs.

In the postseason, Faried was abruptly bumped from the rotation once the Rockets took on the Warriors. The pace of the game was simply too fast for a lumbering defender such as Faried.

Defense will continue to be an issue for Faried if he lands another opportunity in the NBA. But with a sturdy team like the Warriors, his weaknesses would be covered up.

The reality is Faried can provide instant energy, rebounding and efficiency in the paint. He won’t play heavy minutes — but he’ll make each moment count, and that’s all you can ask from a deep reserve player.
