Ranking Golden State Warriors’ top 9 trade assets heading into the offseason
1. Stephen Curry
He probably doesn’t get the full recognition that he unanimously deserves, but there would not be a lot of pushback by saying that Stephen Curry is the third-best player in the NBA right now behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant. If the Golden State Warriors wanted to trade him, which I don’t really see the point in that, he would undoubtedly bring forth historic trade offers. He’s still playing at a very high level and with the way he plays the game, he is likely going to age well in the NBA.
When he’s at his peak, you can argue that there’s no one in the league with a better game from top to bottom. He’s so good and generational on the offensive end of the floor that many seem to forget that his defensive limitations and size are one of the bigger reasons why he fell to the Warriors at No. 7 in the 2009 NBA Draft.
Nevertheless, he has helped lead the Warriors to four NBA Championships throughout his career and it would not be surprising if he wasn’t done adding to that. Curry is the type of player that you really can’t envision playing for another franchise, and he shouldn’t. Still, he’s easily the best trade asset the Warriors have on their roster.
