With the NBA Schedule now in place, expectations can be set for the Golden State Warriors’ 2023-24 season. Over the next few weeks, Blue Man Hoop will provide projections on the franchise’s win-loss record on a month-by-month basis.

October Projections

November Projections

December Projections

January Projections

February Projections

March Projections

April will see seven games for the Golden State Warriors to gear up for the franchise hopes is another deep playoff run. All games come against fellow Western Conference teams, including matchups with the Lakers and Mavericks that could well define the final standings. Golden State should see easier outings against likely lottery bound teams in Houston, Utah (twice) and Portland.

April 2, 2024: at Dallas Mavericks 4:30 PM

With both teams expected to be in the playoff mix, this could be an important matchup in securing a top 4-6 seed. Either way, the Mavericks should be a much different proposition to what they were at this point last season.

April 4, 2024: at Houston Rockets 5:00 PM

One would expect Houston to be well out of play-in contention by this point, and this game should reflect the respective standings of both teams.

Result: Golden State win

April 7, 2024: vs. Utah Jazz 5:30 PM

Utah may still be in the playoff/play-in mix but that won’t change the fact the Warriors will be favorites on their home floor.

April 9, 2024: at Los Angeles Lakers 7:00 PM

A game that could mean a lot for both teams depending on their place in the standings with a few games to play. The Lakers have won their past six over Golden State at Crypto.com Arena (inclusive of the 2023 playoffs).

Result: Golden State loss

April 11, 2024: at Portland Trail Blazers 7:00 PM

The Warriors beat the Trail Blazers by a mammoth 56 points in the last regular season game of 2022-23. This might not produce the same margin, but expect a comfortable win nonetheless.

Result: Golden State win

April 12, 2024: vs. New Orleans Pelicans 7:00 PM

It will be interesting to see where the Pelicans sit in the West heading into this penultimate game. Take out the disastrous 2019-20 season and Golden State have won six-straight at home against New Orleans.

Result: Golden State win

April 14, 2024: vs. Utah Jazz 12:30 PM

A second game against Utah in the space of five days. The Warriors would be disappointed not to win both.

Projected win-loss record in April: 5-2

Cumulative win-loss record: 49-31

These projections have the Warriors finishing with a 49-31 for their current schedule — they will play an additional two games in December with that finalized by results of the In-Season Tournament. A 50-win mark is slightly above market expectation, though shouldn’t be out of reach as the franchise enters the season with renewed focus.
