DeMarcus Cousins will be a Golden State Warrior because he loves them.

Over the last two summers, he has represented Team USA in international competition. He spent a lot of time with Curry and Thompson last season and Green and Durant this year. He can regularly be found working out or messing around with the Warriors players at practice.

Just last year, during one of their practices, he tried to make himself the third “Splash Brother.”

He also has had some fun at Green’s expense, mocking his recent slip up on Snapchat.

Cousins has been shown working out with Green a lot on Team USA.

The Warriors would not be where they are without international competition. Curry and Thompson improved and learned how to win together at the FIBA World Championship. Andre Iguodala used his experience with Durant to woo him to the Bay. And now Durant can use this time to get accustomed to his new teammates.

Perhaps the Warriors will also be in Cousins’ ear. He seems to be having a lot of fun with them. Why do that just during the summer every now and then? Why not all year long?

Speaking of which, Paul George is hanging out with him too. The Warriors will be looking for a new sixth man pretty soon…
