1b – Kevin Durant

When it comes to the top two free agents for the Golden State Warriors, there is no debating them. They are both No. 1 and deserved of every bit of money that they are going to receive. Kevin Durant delivered in his first year with the team and made them NBA Champions again.

He’s already going to opt out of his current deal and is expected to take less on his next so that the team can bring back Andre Iguodala. By virtue of being a team player, Durant is showing his commitment to the bay and the desire to keep this core together for a long time.

He’s going to  get his money still and depending upon the future salary caps, he’s going to get his big long-term deal. Right now, the name of the game is signing the short deals with the cap going up each year.

1a – Stephen Curry

One of the reasons the Warriors were able to have the funds to finance this current team is because Stephen Curry was on a great contract. Now, it’s time to pay him his money and he has earned every bit and more.

Curry is looking at a max offer of five years and for well over $200 million. That’s going to be where the cap is made tight, but keeping him in the bay forever is necessary. The sky is still the limit and he has a ton of gold in his future.
