3. Keith Benson

Keith Benson is another of those players that is a standout in the D-League (now, G-League) that is likely going to get another shot in the NBA. He’s been one of the best players down there and has even earned a championship.

With the additions of two-way contracts, teams are going to make sure they bring up the best talent to help round out the roster. There are some players where spending time in development leagues can help do them a lot better than starting in the NBA.

When Benson finally made it to the NBA, he was on a 10-day contract with the Warriors. It didn’t end up lasting all that long and he didn’t score any points to show for his time. The good news is the determination didn’t stop him.

He’s been in other organizations since and is a standout in the G-League. He’s going to get his chance again in all likelihood and being more experienced could help him stick with a roster if he does get called back up to a team in the NBA.
