JaVale McGee: Ant-Man

No, JaVale McGee is by no means Golden State’s smallest player, but don’t forget Ant-Man also had the ability to grow to an enormous size. Standing 7-feet tall, McGee gives Golden State some much-needed vertical spacing and a lengthy defender in the paint.

But that’s not the only reason I compared Ant-Man to McGee. Like Ant-Man (not Hank Pym, but Scott Lang), JaVale has quite the renowned sense of humor. He keeps things positive even when things look grim.

He’s much smarter than he looks, and he tends to think out of the box rather than settle of the obvious solution. He’s overcome a troubled past, becoming the hero the Warriors need and deserve.

He also has that funny ability of finding a way to shift momentum. He may not consistently make the big play, but when he does, it usually pays off.
