3 reasons the Golden State Warriors should sign Jamal Crawford
Limited playing time needed
The Golden State Warriors can’t make any promises as far as playing time goes. Crawford, unlike younger players that need development, should be accepting of a more specialized role this season.

Exactly a decade ago last season, Crawford was on the Knicks and averaged 40 minutes per game. Since that season, he’s seen his minutes marginally cut just about each season. Now, playing almost half that, Crawford could prepare for his 19th season with Golden State by hitting the high teens in minutes.
Crawford would take the place of Nick Young. Young, who isn’t signed to a team for next season, was a scoring specialist off the bench. Averaging just 17.4 minutes per game of the Dubs bench, Young’s contributions could be easily replenished by Crawford..
Also, with Boogie out for at least a chunk of the season, the Warriors will be thin all around. They’ll need capable bodies, and Crawford, who can still play 20+ minutes per night, could certainly set in a get those minutes while the Dubs heal up.
Crawford should be flexible with how much he plays, but the key is that, to be impactful, he doesn’t need 35 minutes a night.
