Steph Curry

It’s only right that Warriors current 2x MVP Stephen Curry was No. 1 on this list. He’s been the spark that lit the fire of success in Golden State. His work ethic, drive and most of all pure shooting stroke have taken the Dubs to another level.

More from Blue Man Hoop

It really wasn’t until Curry’s fourth season in the league, after four collegiate seasons at Davidson, that he found superstar-level success. After playing just 26 games his third season in the league, Curry managed to steer clear of season-long injuries, playing over 50 games each season since.

Production-wise, he’s proven to be one of the league’s best. Curry’s second MVP season he averaged 30.1 points, 2.1 steals and 90.8% from the free throw line, all league bests. He also made 5.1 threes per game and dished out 6.7 assists.

Curry helped form the culture in the Bay. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard has been relentlessly improving his dribbling, shooting and attacking since he entered the league. Not to mention he’s one of the most underrated defensive guards.

Taken over DeMar DeRozan and Jrue Holiday, Curry was selected with the seventh pick of the 2009 NBA Draft, a draft which also featured 20, 8 MVP James Harden. Ultimately, Curry will go down as his draft’s best player and one of the best guards of all time.

Two MVPs, three rings, and a slew of other recognizable accomplishments highlight Curry’s spectacular career. Best of all, he’s still a few years from exiting his prime.
