Draymond Green on his future

One of many Dubs to address their future, Draymond Green seems to be preparing for a long time in the Bay. His only NBA home, Green is ‘confident’ that he’ll be in Golden State for the long run, a good feeling for Warriors’ fans.

Draymond is arguably the Warriors most impactful player. While it doesn’t always show up in the scoring column, Green is a versatile defender and often times the operator of the Dubs highly lethal offense.

Green has averaged over seven points, rebounds and assists in each of the last three seasons to go along with his impressive defensive stats. He’s a unique type of player and, on the open market, would be worth top dollar.

It’s nice to see Green backing his only NBA home. However, we aren’t at a point where Green can re-sign, so much of this is speculation. Will they pay him what he wants? If he’s eligible for that supermax, will they offer it?

Ultimately, the Warriors would like to do whatever it takes to retain Draymond Green.
