France native Mickael Pietrus was originally drafted by the Warriors as the 11th overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. He made quite the impact for the Warriors off the bench during his time with the club from 2003-08. He emerged as a defensive stopper, as well as a 3-point marksman during his tenure with the team, shooting 35.3 percent from 3-point land across five seasons.

Pietrus currently ranks 12th all-time on the Warriors’ list of 3-point leaders (317) in franchise history. He went 6-for-6 from 3-point range off the bench for a career-high 28 points in a 127-119 victory over the Phoenix Suns back on April 8, 2005.

He proved to be solid role player against a squad of Steve Nash, Joe Johnson, Amar’e Stoudemire, Quentin Richardson and Shawn Marion. They overcame 68 points from Stoudemire and Johnson to get the victory.

During the 2006-07, he shot a career-high 38.8 percent from 3-point range. He made a career-high 93 3-pointers that season. He never eclipsed 100 3-pointers while a member of the Warriors, but he still managed to assert himself as a sharpshooter.

In a time where positionless basketball wasn’t commonplace, Pietrus emerged as a 3-point threat, as well as a wild card on the defensive end. At 6-foot-6, he possessed the versatility to serve more than one role for Golden State.

Through five seasons with the team, he produced 8.6 points and 3.4 rebounds per contest. It looks minimal, but there’s a reason he’ll go down as a top sharpshooter in franchise history.
