My list

Coming in at number one on my list was LeBron James. LBJ is a three-time NBA champion and arguably the most complete basketball player of all-time. In the end, I believe it was his longevity, efficiency and peak performance that gave him the edge over his competition in the system’s algorithm.

In second place was Michael Jordan. There isn’t much to say about Jordan that people don’t already know. He was the definition of perfection and changed the culture forever. There will never be another player like MJ.

To round out the top five, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar placed third, Tim Duncan was fourth and Kobe Bryant landed at fifth.  My guess would be that all three of them benefited greatly from their longevity, while Kobe’s peak performance elevated him to his ending position. Furthermore, each of these players has at least five championships.

My list contained a total of two current Golden State Warrior’s players. These players, of course, being Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Curry ended up in 12th place and as the second-best point guard of all-time behind only Magic Johson. As for KD, he finished in sixth place and was also second in his respective position.

The rest of the list featured names such as Shaquille O’Neal, Karl Malone, Larry Bird, Dirk Nowitzki, George Mikan, Chris Paul, Charles Barkley and James Harden, in that order.

Overall, I believe this generator was very accurate. If I created a list by hand, almost all of these players would be in my top 20, although maybe not in that specific order. I highly recommend jumping in and testing out different lists for yourself as it can be a ton of fun.
