Houston Rockets

After being destroyed by the Philadelphia 76ers a few games ago, the Rockets might’ve realized that this team, even when healthy, will not be able to take down the league’s best. Adding a defensive mastermind like Draymond Green may change that.

The Rockets have the league’s reigning MVP, but they don’t have many elite defensive players after the exiting of Trevor Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute this past offseason. They need a defensive star, and that’s where former Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green comes in.

For Golden State, it’s more about the picks. While Gary Clark Jr. and Kenneth Faried might contribute in spirts, it’s more about the future of the dynasty. By 2022, the Rockets may not be a top Western Conference team.

That 2022 first-round pick could give Golden State a loterry pick at a time where they stars will be nearing the end of the prime. Overall, this would bring hope to the long-term future and free up cap space to give Kevin Durant a max contract this offseason.
