1. Philadelphia 76ers

The Golden State Warriors want to win now. That said, in order to keep their name in true title contention for next season, they’ll need help. That could come in free agency, or it could come from the Philadelphia 76ers.

While it’d be impossible to snag Joel Embiid in a normal trade, we’re talking high-profile player. Durant is one of the league’s best and should be able to return to his old self post-injury, and the Warriors need a dynamic big.

Here’s the idea.

Embiid is finally coming into his own, but it’s difficult to see him as a top-three player in the league. As Toronto displayed, all you need is a superstar leading the way and you have a chance. Potentially losing Harris and Butler, the Sixers need that top-three player.

By the 2020-2021 season, hopefully, Simmons has a jump shot that’d compliment Durant’s dynamic playmaking. This could be a win-win, but it’d be difficult for Philadelphia to give away “The Process.”
