Marquese Chriss

From being signed to waived to re-signed, Marquese Chriss has seemingly finally found a home in Golden State. While he’s not played up to his lottery pick expectations, Chriss has shown enough to prove that he can still be a competent contributor.

Chriss is averaging 8.7 points per game, shooting 53.5% from the field. He’s averaging a career-high 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 blocks per game. His resurgence in Golden State will hopefully continue into next season.

For now, the Warriors have also proven that they’ll get rid of Chriss at a moment’s notice. What Chriss needs to do throughout the remainder of the season is prove he’s an invaluable asset for this roster.

Chriss is 22. This is his fourth season in the league. Fans and analysts need to understand that he can still develop into a solid contributor given his athleticism. After all, he’s still young than rookie Eric Paschall.

He has the potential, but he needs to prove it throughout these last few games.
