Draft capital

The Golden State Warriors will likely have a top-three pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. With that, they’ll be able to select a player like James Wiseman or Anthony Edwards. Even LaMelo Ball will likely be considered for the top pick.

Aside from that pick, the Warriors were able to return three second-round picks in a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers. They were also able to secure what should be a lottery pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves in the D’Angelo Russell deal.

Replenishing their picks and securing a top pick in both this upcoming draft and the next should set the Warriors up for immediate success.

This is where the long-term future comes into play as Wiseman or Edwards could lead the Warriors along with Paschall and Poole for the next ten or so years. However, who they take will be extremely important in deciding just how successful their future is.
