8. Onyeka Okongwu (F – USC)

Strengths:

Few players have had a more productive collegiate season than Onyeka Okongwu. Averaging 16.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game, Okongwu is a safe option at the frontcourt position that can impact the game in many ways. He is a muscular 6’9″ forward with supreme athleticism and timing on defense.

Weaknesses:

Okongwu has a long way to go as a shooter. He hit just 25.0 percent of his attempts from the 3-point line this year and will struggle on offense if he can’t develop more skillful moves around the rim. His size and athleticism will not be as impressive against other NBA level players so he will need to improve in many areas.

Outlook:

The Golden State Warriors wouldn’t be wrong to bet their money on Okongwu making a successful transition to the NBA level. Still, there may be better options still available.
