Marc Gasol

Marc Gasol may not come back to the NBA. If that happens, the Warriors will obviously be out of contention for the Spain-born big man.

If he does come back for one more season, the former Defensive Player of the Year would make a great starting center on Golden State’s roster. It was obvious this past season that Gasol is not even close to his prime, which, given the Warriors would sign him for the MLE, makes sense.

Gasol, like Howard, averaged a career-low 7.5 points per game this past season. He also averaged 6.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.3 threes per game. He’s the perfect combination of Howard and Baynes as he can shoot and protect the rim well.

Curry, Thompson, Wiggins, Green, and Gasol is an elite five-man lineup and has just about everything a championship-level team would have. Shooting, size, space, athleticism, and experience is what that lineup brings to the table.

At 6-foot-11, the 35-year-old Gasol could easily find an NBA home, and if he opts to return, Golden State should at least be in the conversation.
