Los Angeles Lakers — JaVale McGee

The Los Angeles Lakers wouldn’t really want to help improve the Warriors roster, but if there is a perfect trade target on their team, it’s JaVale McGee. He’s a 7-foot center that has a massive wingspan.

With Dwight Howard and Anthony Davis on the roster as well, McGee is not as needed. He has one year left on his contract. He was in on just over 16 minutes per game last season, so the Lakers clearly didn’t use him too much.

He scored 6.6 points per game and shot 64 percent from the field. What he can do on the defensive end is one reason the Warriors should look into trading for him. He’s a disrupture, much like Robert Covington and Patrick Beverley.

McGee has had over three blocks per 36 minutes in all but three of his 12 seasons in the league. Having won two rings with the Warriors, McGee has a relationship with the stars in the Bay Area. The fit would be perfect, but the Lakers likely aren’t planning to put him on the market.
