Golden State Warriors that have impressed: Damion Lee

Last season, the Warriors signed Damion Lee to two-way contract. With Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combining for five games during the entire season, Lee’s presence was quickly sought after on a gamely basis.

Lee was signed on to the 15-man roster. There’s been no turning back for either side.

This season, with Lee back and both Kent Bazemore and Kelly Oubre Jr. on the roster, Lee’s opportunity has taken a hit, but with time expiring, he was given a chance to beat the Bulls. he did just that.

Lee averaged 12.7 points per game last season and that has dwindled to just 6.8 through five games. However, that opportunity isn’t there, so when looking at his per 36-minute average, you can see that he’s down just 1.6 points between the two seasons.

Lee’s shooting is why he’s on our list. Through just a few games, he’s 9-for-18 from deep, shooting 50 percent from behind the arc. Lee’s been a solid and reliable option off the bench and will likely be getting more minutes in the near future.
