Derrick Rose

It’s only a handful of games into the season, but the Detroit Pistons look highly unlikely to make the postseason. That could open up Derrick Rose to either be a buyout option for the Pistons or a trade target for opponents.

For Rose, he’s shown solid contributions so far this season.

In seven games and in just over 24 minutes per game, Rose is averaging 15.3 points per game. The negative around Rose is his efficiency as he’s barely reaching 42 percent from the field. His three-point shooting has already trended lower than the last two seasons as well.

This offseason, the Warriors said they wanted to make adding a backup point guard a priority. They went out and found Brad Wanamaker. He’s been decent for Golden State, but Rose may be able to take their bench to the next level.

Rose is a playmaker, and that’s something the Warriors need. When the eyes are on Stephen Curry, the Warriors don’t have many players that can take them off the two-time MVP. Rose may be able to without being too much of a liability on the defensive end.
