Lou Williams

Lou Williams is the ultimate buy-low target.

He’s a veteran guard who has a contract that would fit under the Warriors DPE. Williams has already played the Warriors twice this season, and in both games, he’s had underwhelming performances.

Williams is averaging his lowest points per game since the 2006-2007 season. At just 8.9 per game, Williams isn’t scoring near as much as he did even last season when he averaged almost 20 points per game.

His main contribution is his scoring off the bench.

Williams, a 6-foot-1 three-time Sixth man of the Year winner, is a skilled guard and could give the Warriors a spark off the bench that they’ve lacked. His defense would make it difficult to play both elite-scoring guards the Warriors would have.

The price tag is really what would get Golden State, and given the depth on the Clippers, it may not be much. That said, depending on the cost, getting Williams when he’s averaging half of what he did a season ago would be a win for the Warriors.
