Kevon Looney

Although he had a solid game last night against the Pacers, Looney really hasn’t played up to par this season.

Following an impressive campaign at the end of the 2019 season, helping the team advance to the Finals, Looney was given a three-year, $15 million contract. He’s one of just a handful of players on the roster that is above a minimum-value contract.

More is to be expected of Looney, especially since the Warriors are seemingly not fond of playing Wiseman down the stretch. This season, prior to the game against the Pacers, Looney has averaged 4.1 points per game.

The 65 percent shooting is what keeping his numbers alive, but Looney needs to be more productive in the minutes he’s given, especially since they’ll likely be increasing with Marquese Chriss sidelined.

If the Warriors are going to contend, Looney being a force off the bench will be a key reason why. They need more on the offensive end from him.
