Kelly Oubre Jr.

Although he started 4-for-4 from the field against the Pacers, Oubre Jr.’s fifth shot showed part of why he’s struggled this season. Oubre Jr., with a lengthy Myles Turner on him, went with a stepback three and bricked it.

The young former Sun came over to help supplement the loss of Klay Thompson. He’s shown that he can be solid for the Warriors, but his shooting has to improve. His defense and rebounding are already good enough.

He gives the effort needed, and now the shots just need to start falling. So far this season, the 6-foot-7 shooting guard has averaged 10.2 points per game, almost half of the 18.7 points he averaged with the Suns last season.

However, on over five attempts per game, Oubre Jr. is shooting under 15 percent from deep. He must be better from deep, and following the Pacers game, there’s certainly the upside that he can be a better shooter.
