Golden State Warriors trade targets: George Hill

A major issue holding the Golden State Warriors back right now is their overall team IQ. This roster is inexperienced and their growing pains are on full display through the first month of the season.

This isn’t to say that the Warriors’ rotation is necessarily bad, but they have a lot to learn. Players like Kelly Oubre, James Wiseman, Andrew Wiggins and Eric Paschall just aren’t accustomed to making high-level basketball plays on a nightly basis.

George Hill is a 13 year veteran with NBA Finals experience and the skillset to match Stephen Curry as a backcourt running mate. He is strong enough to hold his own at the two and could be a lethal sixth man to steer the second unit.

Hill is averaging a cool 11.4 points and 3.5 assists for the rebuilding Oklahoma City Thunder. He has more to offer to the NBA than a leadership role on the Thunder and the Warriors can help him battle for a championship before his career is over.
