The Warriors might have selected the best player in the draft and a possible franchise player when they got James Wiseman with the 2nd overall pick. He has been thrown right into the fire without the benefit of a normal offseason after only play 3 games in college.

He had no summer league and didn’t play in the preseason.

The vertical gravity he has provided is something the Warriors are not used to having, only lob threat they’ve had recently was JaVale McGee. His outside shooting has also been a pleasant surprise, he is shooting 42.9% on 21 3-pointer shots.

We also can’t forget about Nico Mannion, the kid has looked like a solid NBA player in limited minutes. Then there is Justinian Jessup, who has looked good in the Australian league.

New Veteran Players

The Warriors had a low key offseason in terms of acquiring veteran players. The biggest move was trading for Kelly Oubre Jr. He has struggled to fit in offensively which is expected this early in the season, but he has been active on defense.

Then there is Kent Bazemore, a fan favorite. he has done a commendable job trying to fill the role of Andre Iguodala.  While he is not expected to score much he is shooting 48 percent from three and has done a good job on defense as mentioned earlier.
