Mychal Mulder

Another young guard for the Warriors is Mychal Mulder, who made his debut for the Golden State not even a year ago. Mulder made his first start for the Warriors this week, but if you look at his stats it’s no wonder as to why.

In the little time Mulder gets on the court, he averages 47.8 percent from the field. Not terrible, but not terribly helpful when he is only attempting three field goals per game. This has landed Mulder with a scoring average of a whopping 4.4 points per game.

Mulder is virtually nonexistent when it comes to rebounds. Averaging 1.0 defensive rebounds a game and having been inactive on the offensive glass, Mulder has cemented himself as solely a 3-and-D specialist.

While Klay Thompson may be considered the same in some aspects, Klay is a much more explosive shooter and is a far better defender.

Mulder has yet to get remotely close to either of those levels. He doesn’t have to be Thompson and his shooting is there, but he needs to impact the game more than he currently does to ensure he’s both on the roster and in the rotation.
