Golden State Warriors: 5 Buyout candidates to pursue

Golden State Warriors’ targets: Trevor Ariza
Title contending teams have been waiting and waiting for Trevor Ariza to finally hit the waiver wire. He hasn’t played a minute for Oklahoma City this season as he handles off-court issues and he’s likely to wait until a change of scenery is available before he suits up again.
Ariza, a member of the 2009 Los Angeles Lakers championship run, has seen it all during his long NBA career. He’s fit the mold of a 3-and-D threat since day one and has plenty of more to offer at 35 years of age.
Last season, Ariza posted 11.0 points on 40 percent 3-point shooting in Portland. He opted not to play in the Orlando Bubble – but we are certain he is still a worthy playoff performer as he helped Houston push the Warriors to seven games in 2018.
Ariza would be the oldest member of the Dubs’ roster if he joined. This is a good thing, as the team is currently lacking in veteran leadership. Ariza’s presence would be a welcomed sight on both ends of the floor.
