Frontcourt needs

One huge reason the Golden State Warriors should look to sign Griffin is that they clearly have a lack of frontcourt players. When Kevon Looney and James Wiseman went down, the Warriors were stranded, strictly playing small-ball lineups.

A type four, Looney is already undersized, not even getting that close to seven feet tall. While Wiseman has the size, standing easily over that seven-foot mark, he fouls way too often for the Dubs to feel confident heading into the offseason with him as the only traditional center.

While Griffin has played the four for most of his career, he does manage 15 percent of his time at center. A veteran, Griffin should be able to thrive with Golden State at any position, even if he would be relatively undersized to spend most of his minutes at the five.

The Warriors have the need, and Griffin should be able to get the most in a contract with Golden State as well. If they view him as a capable solution to their frontcourt issues, then they should push to bring him in.
