Draymond Green

Draymond Green missed the team’s meeting with the Sacramento Kings, a game they were embarrassing bad defensively in. Green, who recently said he’s the best defensive player of all time, must be better offensively.

Obviously, his defense is there. He’s an elite defender, everyone knows that, and he’s shown enough understanding of the offense to be a perfect sidekick for Curry and Thompson.

Without those two, the team needs more from him offensively. Over the four games which he’s played and Curry has been out, Green has averaged as many points as personal fouls — both sitting at 3.8.

No, he’s never been a top-tier scorer, but he has three All-Star appearances under his belt. He needs to be more impactful on that end of the court. He’s missed four threes and is shooting under 25 percent from the field over the team’s last five games.

Green must step up. A more aggressive Green can only be a good thing for Golden State.
