Golden State Warriors trade for Domantas Sabonis

Now we are setting our sights a little higher. I don’t think we should understate the potential impact a player like Domantas Sabonis can have on the Golden State Warriors. His all-around skill set and trustworthy contributions would bring some much-needed consistency to this team.

Sabonis averaged 20.3 points, 12.0 rebounds and 6.7 assists in his second All-Star stint this season. He’s flown under the radar as one of the league’s most underrated stars but his talents would be on full display in Golden State.

The Dubs truly haven’t had a big man that can dominate in the post like Sabonis. This inside-out dynamic that Sabonis can create is intriguing. Not to mention, he successfully expanded his game to the 3-point line, shooting a semi-respectable 32.5 percent for a center.

In order to match salaries, the Warriors and Indiana Pacers would need to agree to a sign-and-trade involving Kelly Oubre Jr. This comes with a whirlwind of possible complications. For the sake of this scenario, let’s assume the three parties find a way to make it work.
