Golden State Warriors can consider Evan Fournier

The Golden State Warriors do not have many weak points on this roster. They are fully equipped with top-of-the-line shooters, elite defenders and veteran leaders. But, they are lacking a bit of firepower in the second unit.

A lot of pressure will be placed on the young Moses Moody and Jordan Poole to provide shot creation for the Warriors’ bench. Names like Otto Porter and Nemanja Bjelica will also be relied on to score when their number is called.

However, none of them can provide the same level of consistent offensive output as Evan Fournier. A three-level scorer who is versed in getting buckets, Fournier is the sixth man to target in trades.

Fournier averaged 17.1 points on impressive 45.7 percent shooting from the floor and above 40 percent 3-point shooting. Recently joining the New York Knicks, it would take some misfortune for that relationship to end so soon. But, I wouldn’t put it past the Knicks from fumbling this situation by the deadline.

In the event Fournier is available, the Dubs have enough to swing for him. Granted, other teams will be able to offer more lucrative packages but the Warriors would be doing themselves a disservice by not inquiring about Fournier in February.
