Terrence Jones headlines NBA G League International Challenge
Ability to run the break
Once again, the comparisons to Draymond Green come into play when we take a look at Terrence Jones’ ability to handle the ball up the floor in transition. Among the guys currently on the Sea Dubs roster, Jones ranks third on the team in fast break points per game (2.2).
On the other hand, I’ve never seen Draymond pull off a fake behind-the-back pass, let alone on a fast break for the lefty finish.
We’ve already taken a look at Jones’ passing ability, which is exactly what makes him so dangerous in this instance: Jones is perfectly capable of finding the open man, so the defender has to respect Jones’ vision and be prepared to contest the three-pointer.
But instead of kicking it out, Jones makes the right decision, taking it to the one guy in front of him for the inside bucket.
