2. Competition in the West grows stronger

It’s tough to say if the Warriors will make any major moves before the deadline, but their competitors almost certainly will.

Every team across the league is looking to improve at the deadline. For some of the heavy hitters in the West, rumors are already building up. Teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets are all looking to grow stronger.

The Lakers may not have much wiggle room in terms of cap space but are reportedly looking to move Kyle Kuzma and other role players in exchange for more suitable pieces. Kuzma has not fit very well with the current lineup and may be better off with a different team.

There is also the possibility that Andre Iguodala will finally be shipped out of Memphis. The Warriors know all too well how valuable Iggy can be to a championship-contending team.

Whatever happens before the deadline, we can almost guarantee that some teams in the West will improve.
