I don’t remember where I was reading or hearing this bit, but some basketball analyst had said that Stephen Curry would be a player to watch during the NBA summer league. The sharpshooter isn’t particularly built like his NBA teammates and the analyst wrote/said, that it would be interesting to see him try to get his shot off or create his own shot against bigger and stronger men in the NBA. Well I happened to flip the tv on and there it was. A summer league game featuring the Warriors. I can’t quite remember who they played, but I think it doesn’t matter who they play. The point is, that Curry had a game that should start to silence critics and start to gain gazers. Not only did he play well, 29 points, but the highlight reels basically was his highlight reel. He got shots off, 3 pointers and slashing moves to the bucket. Granted, I know this is the summer league, but this is a good start. He hasn’t shown he lacks the capability to play but it seems like he has been improving his game, knowing he is small in stature. I wouldn’t worry about him finding a shot, playing along side Monte and Stephen Jackson. They’ll open up shooting areas for him and he’ll open up driving lanes for them. I’m also sure that his pops got his body under control giving him advice and make sure that his son bulks up. I think this might not have been the smartest pick for the Warriors, but it will definitely won’t hinder the team in any way. Just watching that summer league game makes me excited for the regular season!
