Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry takes on Dell Curry (Video)

It looks like Stephen Curry truly is a chip off the old block. In a new video posted by the Golden State Warriors twitter account, you can see Steph take on his old man, sharpshooting legend Dell Curry, in a friendly game of P.I.G. Dell reminded the onlookers, attendees of the #SplashBrothers clinic, that while Steph might be the greatest shooter in the NBA, he still isn’t the greatest shooter in the family. You can tell that Steph and Dell played with each other quite often, as they knew where each other  weak areas where. In fact, as a Warriors fan, we should be thankful that Dell engaged in these friendly games with Steph from a young age, as they are likely one of the reasons the point guard is such a proficient shooter.

Though Steph didn’t make quite as many shots as he should have, and the particular free throw miss was a little troubling, it’s nice to see Steph finally enjoy an offseason of relaxation and training rather than rehabilitation. While Steph will be remembered as a much better player than his father, he can still learn from his old man, particularly how to hit that off-the-glass elbow three that Dell seemed to like so much. Not many people can boast beating Stephen Curry in a shooting competition, let alone a man nearly double his age, but Dell Curry has shown that while a player can lose their athleticism, they won’t lose their touch from deep.
