Golden State Warriors Welcome Struggling Atlanta Hawks: Game Preview

The Golden State Warriors return to Oracle tonight to face off with the Atlanta Hawks, who are fighting for their playoff lives. The Hawks are currently sitting at the eight spot in the Eastern Conference and the Warriors will be looking to snag a win from a team that has struggled in recent weeks.

Circumstances are quite the opposite for the Warriors, as they ripped off a 5-2 record on their road trip and are well locked into the sixth seed at this point in the season. They only trail the Portland Trail Blazers by 3.5 games, so every win at this point forward will be crucial if they want to improve their playoff standing before the season ends.

The Hawks will most likely be missing their big man All-Star Paul Millsap in tonight’s game as he continues to recover from an injury that has sidelined him for the last couple of games.

Without Millsap in the lineup, you can look for the Warriors to attack the inside and take advantage of the Hawks’ lack of depth in their front court by driving to the rim and feeding their big men in the paint.

The Warriors and Hawks are headed into two different directions as the Warriors continue to ride their hot streak and continue their playoff push with a win over the depleted Hawks tonight.
