Curry, Thompson Team Up In Team USA Scrimmage

Team USA training camp in preparation for the 2014 FIBA World Championships is underway, and notable participants Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors are part of the mix.  Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes were also invited to participate on the Select team, the team brought in specifically to play against team USA.

Curry and Thompson are both trying to make the final 12-man roster, and signs point to them being in good shape for doing just that.  Recent tweets have surfaced reporting Curry and Thompson have shot well enough to win a shooting competition among Team USA hopefuls, followed by DeMarcus Cousins.

Furthermore, the NBA recently posted on their Instagram page the teams for the day, and it has caused quite a commotion among NBA fans, debating on how the teams size up against one another. The teams were as follows:

White Team, coached by Monty Williams

Blue Team, coached by Tom Thibodeau

It’s great to see Curry and Thompson teaming up even in team USA scrimmages, and it would be even more interesting to see how the Splash Brothers fair playing with and against other great players of the NBA. An interesting story to follow might be the performance of Curry / Thompson compared to that of Wall / Beal. Recent discussions have pondered which duo will solidify themselves as the best backcourt in the NBA.

Will Team USA give us an answer in the coming weeks? Which duo would you take, and which team (white or blue) do you think won the scrimmage?
