The lockout has now dragged on for months and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. Even now, superstars are beginning to be weary and word on the NBA street is that Kobe is now even considering going overseas. While others like Dirk Nowitzki is playing the waiting game there is one common theme, big name superstars have yet to make their input on the lockout themselves and it is a clear missing link from this whole negotiation. LBJ, Kobe, D-Wade have been absently still in lockout procedures. The biggest name to find the news is union president, Derek Fisher while most of the contingency that met in Las Vegas are guys are worried about getting a job next year, names that people would be shocked to even find on a roster. And while, sometimes, less is more, it would be most beneficial for the union to have strong, superstar power to lead the charge.
Another week and another disappointment. At this point, the season would be difficult to save. Can you imagine a winter without any professional basketball?
